I am a professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina. I’m a former administrator who re-entered the world of “regular academia” two years ago and couldn’t be happier.

As a professor, I research media effects. At the moment, I’m working on a number of projects including how e-cigarette companies market their products via Twitter.  I teach Account Planning to undergraduate students.  And currently, I”m teaching doctoral students how to become professors.

If I’m not at school, I hope I’m on the water rowing, in the kitchen cooking, the the choir loft singing, in the garden watering, or curled up in my chair reading.
