My Year Away. Again.

First, I went on Sabbatical. Now, I'm beginning My Year Away again as I start my first year of Retirement!

About

I created this blog as a way to chronicle my academic sabbatical (July 1, 2014 to August 16, 2015).  It was originally called “My Year Away.”  But then my sabbatical was over.  I was surprised when I discovered I wanted to keep blogging so I thought I’d write for another year, reflecting on returning to university life.  I renamed my blog “My Year Away. And Back.”  Now I’m starting my fifth year “being back.”  But, I find myself still wanting to blog.  As I get further away from administration (which is what led to my sabbatical in the first place), I’ve found lots of other things to write about, most recently living with achalasia, home renovations, and traveling to Italy. Perhaps I need to change the name again.  We shall see.  Maybe I’ll  rename my blog “Away Again.  And Never Coming Back!”

  1. As you will read in this post, I have nominated you for the “One Lovely Blog” Award: http://sappyasatree.wordpress.com/2014/10/06/one-lovely-blog-award/ What I failed to realize at the time is that I nominated both your blogs. Please feel free to ignore the nomination, or to respond to only one of my nominations. Apologetically, Sandi
